But for us, we decided to take the easy route and bought a solid wooden table with foldable legs.
It’s perfect for small spaces or as a card game table that you can easily store away when not in use.
I specifically chose this table so we can use it during winter and stash it away during summer.
And let me tell you, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and affordability.

So here’s how we built our kotatsu table:
We chose option A.
The heater we bought only came with instructions in Japanese, so we had to rely on a photo translator software to figure out the steps.
As you can see, the instructions weren’t great, but my husband totally rocked it like a boss!
