What’s the Easiest Way to Make the Perfect Coffee?

I’m a big fan of coffee and I simply cannot live without it.

Therefore, I own many different types of coffee gadgets such as an espresso machine, a cold brewer, a french press, a dripper, etc.

I even went to some barista classes and got a barista certificate years ago.

Since I’m so passionate about coffee, my friends and family often ask me about the easiest way to make coffee.

The easiest way to make coffee is by using a dripper or a french press.

In general, instant coffee is the simplest way to make coffee. However, it’s difficult to make good coffee with instant coffee.

Making coffee with a dripper or a french press is very simple and tastes fantastic.

Using A Coffee Dripper

Making coffee with a coffee dripper is simple and easy to clean. Using a coffee dripper can be a perfect method for a beginner who doesn’t want to purchase expensive coffee machines.

Drippers are affordable and easy to take care of. All you need is a coffee mug with a dripper, ground coffee, and hot water. However, I recommend using a dripper only for making hot coffee.

You still can try to make iced coffee with it, but since you use hot water first when you add ice, most of it will melt. If you add more ice, the concentration of coffee will be too low.

In general, there are four different types of coffee drippers.

  • Ceramic Dripper: The ceramic dripper requires using filter paper. Most ceramic drippers have big holes in the bottom, so you can’t use them without filter paper. The good thing about using filter paper is the cleaning process is super easy. You can simply get rid of the paper with coffee grounds and dump it out into a trash can.

  • Glass Dripper: The glass dipper has very similar characteristics to the ceramic dripper; It also requires filter paper. It comes with some durability concerns. It’s very fragile and easier to break while washing or using it. However, it’s gorgeous and easier to observe the dripping status.

  • Plastic Dripper: I don’t recommend any plastic material. Because it can release harmful chemicals when it is used with hot water.

Using A French Press

Making coffee with a french press is an easy way to make good coffee. You can make coffee with higher pressure with a french press.

Therefore, coffee made in a french press is stronger than coffee with a dripper.

Furthermore, you can make cold brew coffee or froth milk with the french press. I recommend using the french press for both iced or hot coffee.

Since you can make stronger coffee with higher pressure, your coffee will still taste good after adding some ice.

However, washing a french press is a little bit trickier compared to washing a dripper. Because you need to disassemble each part before you wash and reassemble after it gets dry.

In general, there are two types of french press.

Glass French Press:

The glass french press is the most common product on the market. You can easily observe the level of water, so it’s easier to pour the right amount and they are stunning! However, if you get a low-quality product, it can easily break.

I love making a batch of cold brew coffee, especially in summer. In general, cold brew is a stronger coffee and you can make fantastic iced coffee with it.

Making cold brew takes a longer time than a dripper but it’s a very easy process.

How To Make Tasty Cold Brew Coffee Without A Coffee Brewer

  1. You can use any type of container such as a bottle, mason jar, etc.
  2. Make sure to use a clean container
  3. Ground your coffee beans to coarse or get ground coffee beans
  4. Add some coarse-ground coffee to the container
  5. Pour cold water into the container. (1 coffee: 2 water ratio)
  6. Keep the container in the refrigerator for 12-24 hours
  7. Filter out ground coffee
  8. Enjoy your cold-brew coffee with your favorite recipe
  9. Don’t store the cold brew coffee out of the fridge
  10. Don’t store longer than 3 days

How To Make Cold Brew Coffee Faster

Making cold brew coffee is super easy but it does take some time. In order to make cold brew coffee faster, you can ground your coffee beans to fine or get fine ground coffee.

Smaller coffee particles will increase the surface area and it will help you make stronger coffee. However, you may need to use an extra fine filter such as a paper filter.

What’s The Difference Between Cold Brew Coffee and Regular Coffee

In general, cold brew coffee retains more caffeine because its concentration is higher than regular coffee.

Another big difference is the taste. Cold brew coffee can reduce the sour taste and it has a softer feeling when you drink it.

Using A Regular Coffee Maker

You can easily purchase a cheap coffee maker anywhere. However, I don’t recommend this type of coffee machine because it’s mainly made of plastic material and difficult to clean.

Cheaply made plastic material for kitchen appliances is not guaranteed safe. It has concerns with releasing bad chemicals and absorbing dish soap. Investing in a decent coffee maker will make your life easier and last longer.

You can make amazing coffee with an espresso machine. However, good-quality of espresso machines are pricey and require maintenance. I have been using the Breville Barista 870XL for many years. Please click on the provided link to access the article.

It definitely makes good coffee but it required a little more effort to take care of it. You need to clean all the accessories such as portafilter, coffee storage, grinder, water storage, coffee puck knock box, and espresso cups almost every day.

Furthermore, it requires a cleaning process and a descaling process at least once a month.
